The Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi (FIIRO) has launched programmes that will scale up “Auto Gas Conversion of Vehicles and Generators.”
FIIRO also flag off a national training progamme for 50 youth on “Auto Gas Technology,” which aims to mitigate the impact of subsidy removal by offering a cheaper alternative to fossil fuels.
Flagging off the programme in Abuja, Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji, said the initiative reflects the country’s commitment to addressing critical technological needs for Nigeria’s socio-economic development.
The minister said economic growth thrives on innovation, science, and technology adding that the ministry was committed to contributing to Nigeria’s development by “building capacity in these areas.” the Director-General of FlIRO, Dr. Jummai T. Adamu, said the institute was dedicated to providing market-driven solutions to the country’s technological challenges.
