Participants attending the ‘International Film Training Capacity Building Workshop’include information and communications officers of federal, state and local governments and agencies of government as well as those from the organised private sector and communications companies.
The 8th edition of the training series hasthe theme: ‘Content Development and the Challenges of Digitisation,’ Brian Etuk, head of public affairs, Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC), said in a statement, adding that the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) is partnering with the corporation.
The focus on content development and ways of addressing the challenges of digitisation, Etuk said, is to further the conversation on the migration from analogue to digital broadcasting which comes into effect next year.
Chief executives of the NFC, Dr. Danjuma Dadu and that of NBC, Mr. Emeka Mba, have assured that the training and capacity building workshop, designed to give all stakeholders the opportunity to hone their skills in preparation for Nigeria’s digital migration, will be achieved.
Since its debut in 2005, the various themes of subsequent editions of ‘SHOOT! Training and Capacity Building Workshop’ were ‘Bridging the Gap-Between Analogue and Digital Film,’‘Music for Film,’‘Enhancing the Visual Image,’‘Real Life: Reel Sound’ and ‘Digital Transition.’
