Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Bala Mohammed made this disclosure last Monday during the FCT Operations Briefing Session in Gwarinpa I District (Life-Camp), Abuja.
The Chief Press Secretary to the FCT Minister, Muhammad Hazat Sule quoted the minster as saying the final engineering designs of these districts are underway preparatory for their ground breaking.
The minister reiterated that these new districts will assist in unbundling land and reduce housing deficit across the FCT.
Mohammed revealed that the FCT administration has embarked on the extension of water supply to Abuja Technology Village and private developers’ housing estates to fast-track development in these areas.
According to him, the FCT Administration is also providing primary roads to mass housing areas (Road S30) to make such places habitable.
He noted that five out of six roads under resurfacing of existing roads in Wuse I District are completed and handed over to the FCT administration.
The minister disclosed that the final engineering design production of Tender Documents for Interceptor Sewer Schedule V for Kaura, Duboyi and other districts of Phases II & III of the Federal Capital City, Abuja is completed.
The minister directed that all FCT agencies without enabling laws be taken back to departments until the National Assembly enacts appropriate laws for them.
