The Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has commissioned a newly constructed 80-bed hostel at the Nigerian Law School Yola Campus, in a move aimed at improving infrastructure and supporting legal education in the state.

The project, undertaken by the Adamawa State Government, is designed to address accommodation challenges faced by students of the institution and provide a more conducive learning environment.

The commissioning ceremony formally marked the handover of the four-block hostel facility to the management of the law school. With the completion of the project, the hostels are now ready for occupation by students of the campus.

Representing the governor at the event, the Deputy Governor, Kaletapwa Farauta, reiterated the administration’s commitment to responsive governance and sustained development across Adamawa State. She said the government would continue to execute projects that directly improve the welfare and opportunities of citizens.

Farauta also emphasized the importance of providing adequate accommodation and a conducive environment for effective training and learning, stressing the need for proper maintenance of public facilities.

Earlier, the Deputy Director-General of the Yola Campus of the Nigerian Law School, Rilwanu Salmanu Muhammed, commended the Adamawa State Government for its support in transforming and repositioning the institution.

He praised Governor Fintiri’s development-driven leadership, noting that the impact of the administration’s projects is evident across the state.

Also speaking at the event, the Adamawa State Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development, Abdullahi Prambe, explained that the facility consists of four hostel blocks, each containing ten rooms. According to him, each room is designed to accommodate between two and three students.
