Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has flagged off the distribution of over N1 billion as flood intervention support to 5,357 victims affected by the 2025 flood disaster in Yola South Local Government Area.

Speaking at the flag-off ceremony held at Aliyu Mustapha College, Yola, the governor said the beneficiaries were categorised into three groups based on the level of damage suffered.

He explained that households mildly affected by the floods would receive N135,000 each, those moderately affected N280,000, while severely affected households would get N550,000.

Fintiri said the intervention was part of the state government’s commitment to easing the suffering of residents impacted by natural disasters and helping them rebuild their lives.
