The speaker had on Monday in a statement announced the removal of Majority Leader and Chief Whip, Salihu Kabilo representing Verre and Jerry Kumdisi representing Gombi respectively.
Ishaq Bala, representing Yola North then emerged as the new Majority Leader while Iya Abbas representing Uba-Gaya is the new Chief Whip.
The statement signed by the chief press secretary to the speaker, Solomon Kumangar indicated that the changes were supported by two-third majority of PDP members in the assembly.
A source close to Fintiri said the changes were made in response to a plot to remove the speaker by a group allegedly sponsored by the executive arm of Adamawa State government.
