The administration of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has officially commenced the construction of the long-awaited 18km Girei–Pariya Road, as the Adamawa State Government intensifies efforts to improve infrastructure across the state.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works and Energy Development, Engr. Mohammed Suleiman, alongside the Director of Civil Engineering, Engr. Geoffrey P. Dariya, and other technical personnel of the Ministry, undertook a routine inspection visit to the project site.
The visit underscores the Ministry’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that all ongoing projects meet the highest standards of quality and durability.
During the tour, the team also inspected asphalt laying at the Federal Housing Addendum along the Girei Highway, where the Permanent Secretary expressed satisfaction with the progress made by the contractor, Triacta Nigeria Limited.
Meanwhile, Raycon Construction Nigeria Ltd., the company handling the Girei–Pariya project, has commenced preliminary works and site preparation ahead of the base course laying.
It would be recalled that the Girei–Pariya Road project was abandoned by the immediate past administration but has now been revived by the administration of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, in line with his commitment to infrastructural transformation and improved connectivity across Adamawa State.
