The residence of the Sokoto State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma, was gutted by fire yesterday.
No life was lost to the inferno which was noted to have affected the wives’ wing of the house, but valuables worth millions of naira were destroyed.
ýDaily Trust learnt that the fire which started about 3.00 pm, could not be put out till two hours later. Leader of the firemen who doused the fire, Bala Na’abu said the fire might have been caused by electric fault.
Daily Trust has learnt that the National Chairman of PDP, Sen. Modu Sheriff has made a phone call to express sympathy with the state party chairman over the incident. 
The PDP chairman Milgoma who expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah that no life was lost, described the incident as an act of God.
