Fire razes 36 houses, 46 grain silos in Jigawa

A wildfire has razed 36 houses and 46 local grain silos and killed 40 livestock in Abanderi village, Dutse local government area of Jigawa state. 

No life was lost in the fire which broke out at 5 am.

It was gathered that over 70 people lost all their belongings to the fire which was said to be a result of bush burning.

The Executive Secretary of Jigawa State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Sani Yusuf Babura, said his agency was working out some modalities on how assistance would reach the victims.
