The Federal Fire Service (FFS) has appointed a legendary musician, Tuface Idibia as its National Fire Safety Ambassador.

The Controller-General of the FFS, Samuel Olumode Adeyemi, disclosed this at the closing ceremony of the 2025 National Fire Safety Week in Abuja on Friday.

Represented Deputy Controller-General Aliyu Tambari, he applauded the renowned artist and humanitarian’s willingness to lend his voice and influence to “this national cause.”

The Controller-General said, “As a National Fire Safety Ambassador, we expect him to champion behavioural change, amplify public awareness and inspire a new generation to embrace a culture of safety.”

According to him, Tuface’s platform gives him the unique ability to connect with millions, expressing confidence that he would use it to promote responsibility, vigilance and a national shift toward prevention.

While noting that fire safety is evolving globally, he vowed that the agency would keep pace by embracing technology, improving inter-agency coordination and investing in the capability of our personnel.

“We will continue to strengthen training, modernise our operational systems and expand community outreach.

“Under my leadership, we remain committed to elevating the Federal Fire Service to higher levels of professionalism, responsiveness and public engagement,” he said.
