Arise Nigeria has appointed Fatima Mohammed Habib as its Special Adviser on Human Advocacy and Social Impact to the office of the National Women Leader of the organisation.
Her appointment which is made in recognition of her longstanding record in humanitarian advocacy, public engagement, and social impact initiatives focused on health, education, and inclusive governance, as well as leadership across multiple civic and humanitarian platforms was disclosed in a statement signed by Arise Nigeria’s National Women Leader, Dr Ruqayya Ahmed on Tuesday.
Habib, known for her humanitarian work across Northern Nigeria and other parts of Africa, has spent over a decade working closely with conflict-affected and underserved communities.
As the founder of the Advocacy for Human Value Foundation, she has led initiatives focused on mental health awareness, women and youth empowerment, and humanitarian support for vulnerable families.
She described her appointment as an opportunity to lead responsibly and help the vulnerable in the society feel seen and heard.
“This journey started from a very simple place — wanting to help people feel seen and supported, especially in difficult environments. To now serve at this level is a responsibility I take seriously,” she said.
In her new role, she will provide advisory support on advocacy and social impact initiatives, working to strengthen policies and programs that affect women, youth, and marginalized communities.
Over the years, Fatima has received several recognitions for her humanitarian contributions and leadership. Her work has consistently focused on bridging the gap between policy conversations and the realities faced by people at the grassroots.
Arise Nigeria is a national socio-political advocacy platform committed to good governance and social accountability.
