Obodofei Integrated Services Limited has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority following the issuance of a Licence to Establish (LTE) for a compressed natural gas (CNG) processing plant in Bayelsa State.
In a statement, the company said the approval allows it to develop a 25 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) CNG processing facility aimed at supporting gas supply for transportation, industrial, and commercial use.
Obodofei noted that the project is expected to contribute to efforts to expand domestic gas utilisation and promote alternative energy sources.
The firm added that the proposed plant, to be located in Bayelsa State, could enhance economic activities in the host communities through job creation and related opportunities.
It also stated that the development may support the growth of associated services, including logistics and maintenance, within the emerging CNG value chain.
The company acknowledged the support of the Bayelsa State Ministry of Trade and Investment during the project development phase.
Obodofei said it remains committed to executing the project in line with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
