He added that the first phase of the project will be 36 megawatts of 12 sites of Bio-solar energy power plant and industrial part.
“The pilot phase will be developed in already identified isolated sites in Ibadan, Oyo state, Ifewara, Osun state and an existing cluster of rice mills in Gombe State. Each of the 12 clusters is expected to have a minimum of 50 and maximum 500 industrial outlets with a minimum of one megawatts to 3MG IPP install capacity.”
He said the remaining nine sites is in the offing with tariff structure based on cost effective tariff
Speaking at the event, the National President of NASSI, Dr. Solomon Vongfa said light is a major problem for small scale entrepreneurs all over the country.
“A lot of them have been running all over the country with diesel and we know what the cost of energy is now in Nigeria. So we feel that with green energy, which is globally accepted, and it is the current thing the world is working on, it is an advantage for our members and puts them in a captive cluster.”
