Wellcare Home Medicals Limited, a pioneer professional home healthcare provider for senior citizens, has marked its 20th anniversary with a medical outreach in Apapa and Surulere local government areas of Lagos State.
The outreach provided free healthcare services, including vital signs and blood sugar checks, eye screening with free glasses, dental care with minor procedures, general medical consultations, medications, and food packages for participants.
The initiative was carried out in partnership with Precious Jewels Elderly Care Home, Nigerian Breweries, SYNLAB, Flour Mills, Noble Merry, and other health workers and individuals.
Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Wellcare Home Medicals Limited, Amb. Dr Jumoke Odunsi, said the outreach was organized to celebrate the organization’s 20 years of service to senior citizens. She described the programme as a demonstration of its commitment to improving the health and well-being of the elderly.
She said the organization would continue to explore new initiatives and partnerships to support senior citizens and their families.
According to the company, about 1,000 senior citizens benefited from the outreach.
