Firm offers scholarship to orphans

New Crystal Communication Limited over the weekend offered scholarships and relief items to 10 outstanding orphans from different orphanages.

 The orphanages were Ark of Refuge, Christ Foundation, Gifted and Talented, Treasure and Talithiacum Orphanage.

 Marketing manager of the company, Augusta Ndigwe, said two gifted students from each of the orphanages were offered the scholarship. 

 She said the orphanages were located in very remote areas of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and were hardly visited or remembered by people.

 Items distributed were school bags, toiletries, hostel beds with mattresses, electricity generators, school uniform, clothes, text and exercise books and food items. 

 Owner of Christ Foundation Orphanage, Gabriel Kuta, said the orphanage had faced difficulties in paying school fees for 47 children and solicited for funding to establish a school.
