Learn Africa PLC has rewarded the top three candidates of the 2024/2025 National Examinations Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate Examination with N2.3M for their academic excellence.

The candidates were Adeyemo Emmanuella from Our God Reigns Crystal School in Ogun who obtained As in nine subjects to emerge as the overall winner, Nwachukwu Ikechukwu from St. Paints Academy in Jos got the second position.

The third position went to Watt Oluwaseun from The Crescent International High School in Ogun. They received N1M, N750,000 and N500,000 respectively.

The Chairman, Learn Africa PLC, Chief Emeke Iwerebon expressed the firm’s commitment to enhance academic excellence, acknowledging the efforts of the students for their brilliance, creativity, and sense of purpose.

“You have earned it through late nights of study, perseverance in the face of challenges, and a steadfast focus on your goals. Your success today is proof that determination and discipline yield remarkable results,” he said

He urged them not to rest on their oars, describing their successes as a reflection of the support from their parents and teachers.

“But let me remind you—this is not the end of the journey; it is only the beginning. You have set yourselves apart as leaders of tomorrow, and the responsibility that comes with such distinction is great,” he said.

Commending their efforts, the acting Director Southwest Zonal Directorates, Dr. Benjamin Bargu described the rewards as a motivation to other students to concentrate on their academics.

He appreciated the organisers, Learn Africa Education Development Foundation, attributing their roles to nation building and improving learning outcomes.

“They are contributing to nation building and trying to motivate students to really work hard. I encourage other companies to come join, so that we can all move education to the highest level and reward hard work.

“So students will concentrate and do their best. You know, come out and represent this country, develop this country,” he said.
