Team Lead of a property-tech company, Shelta, Mr Austin Igwe, has suggested that property managers and landlords should give room for a flexible system of rent payment.
Speaking yesterday in Abuja during the 3rd anniversary and award ceremony to smart associates, best landlords and tenants of the company, he said most landlords who insist on yearly payment of rents do not understand what tenants go through to raise the bulk money.
According to him, court cases between landlords and tenants were usually caused by the tenant’s inability to pay the bulk rent money, hence the need to allow tenants to spread the rent monthly, and quarterly; in a way easier for them to pay.
Igwe revealed that the company was also working on a project to provide affordable rent accommodations for corps members by January.

He said lots of corps members who go to different states find it difficult to find a place to stay, hence the need to help them with affordable accommodation even if it would be in the suburbs.
