Nigerian digital export startup Niteon has launched Kunte, a generative artificial intelligence (AI) platform designed to streamline trade, finance, and logistics across Africa. The AI brain integrates with the company’s three core operations: Niteon HQ, Niteon Capital, and Niteon Hub, creating a unified ecosystem for exporters and global buyers.
Unlike conventional chatbots, Kunte is a full-stack generative language model trained on multilingual African datasets. It can understand voice commands, generate and process text, and analyse images. This allows the AI to match buyers with verified suppliers, generate contracts, invoices, and customs forms, verify product quality, and even produce product visuals for online listings.
“Kunte is more than a tool; it’s a brain designed to think, act, and simplify trade workflows across Africa,” said Dr. Tony Nwose, CEO and co-founder of Niteon. “It brings trust, transparency, and efficiency to a market that has long been fragmented.”
The AI platform supports Niteon’s three operational pillars. At Niteon HQ, Kunte handles buyer-seller matching, assessing product quality, reliability, and pricing, while even negotiating terms where necessary. Within Niteon Capital, it helps with credit assessment, trade financing, and compliance, assisting buyers and sellers with approvals and document verification. At Niteon Hub, the AI optimizes logistics by planning routes, generating export documentation, and tracking shipments in real time.
According to industry observers, Kunte addresses longstanding challenges in Africa’s trade infrastructure, where marketplaces, finance, and logistics have traditionally operated in silos. The AI aims to make exporting faster, more transparent, and less risky for both small-scale exporters and international partners.
The launch coincides with Niteon’s rapid expansion, which includes management of over 11,000 vehicles across Nigeria, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Plans are also underway for a 3,000-capacity smart storage facility in West Africa, a move experts say could significantly improve regional export capabilities.
“Kunte unifies marketplaces, logistics, and finance. It’s the connective tissue that makes African exports competitive on the global stage,” Dr. Nwose added.
Niteon is calling on technology partners, financial institutions, logistics operators, and government agencies to integrate with Kunte. Opportunities include joint deployments, shared compliance infrastructure, and talent development for managing AI, multilingual data, and speech recognition.
