Immigration officers screen the first batch of pilgrims in Katsina State yesterday

The first batch of 546 Plateau State Pilgrims for the 2022 Hajj has arrived at Sir Abubakar Tafa Balewa International Airport, Bauchi. 

The returnees on board Max Air, landed at the airport, having departed from Jeddah King Abdul’azeez International Airport, and arrived Wednesday evening. 

A statement by the executive secretary of the state pilgrims’ board, Auwal Abdullahi, said the pilgrims were received by the state Amirul Hajj and Emir Of Kanam, Muhammadu Mu’azu Mohammed, on behalf of Governor Simon Lalong. 

The statement issued by his personal assistant, Umar Namijinkulu, said the Bauchi State governor, Bala Muhammad, also witnessed the arrival of the pilgrims from the holy land.
