First lady disburses 9, 000 bags of fertiliser to Zamfara women farmers

The donation was done in collaboration with MDG as part of her women empowerment programme in the country.
The branded fertilisers bearing colourful picture of President Goodluck Jonathan, consisted of 9, 000 bags meant for free distribution to women farmers in the fourteen local government areas of the state.
The disbursement of the commodity which will be channeled through the federal ministry of agriculture was started by Vice President Namadi Sambo, weekend, in Kaura Namoda, during the presentation of take-off materials to graduands of Senator SahabiYa’u ‘Youth vocational skills initiative’.  
The ceremony for the presentation of the materials and the fertiliser distribution was attended by prominent personalities that included defence minister Gen Aliyu Gusau, minister of foreign affairs Alhaji Aminu Wali, minister of state finance Alhaji Bashir Yuguda and Malam Abba Dabo.
Others included Governor Ramalan Yero of Kaduna State, former governors of Sokoto Dr. Garba Nadama, Mallam Yahaya Abdulkarim, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa, many members of the House of Representatives, the national coordinator Dame Patience Women for Change Initiative Princess Rabi Ibrahim and many other top dignitaries.
