First Lady Distributes Rice to 1000 Christians in Yobe

The wife of the President Senator Oluremi Tinubu has distributed 1000 bags of rice to households, widows and vulnerable members of the Christian community in Yobe State.

The gesture is part of the First Lady’s annual support to the Christians brethren to ease their economic burden and ensure that they celebrated Christmas and New Year with joy and dignity.

The donation was channeled through the Northern Nigeria Christian Political Forum (CNFF) Yobe State chapter for the 2025 Christmas and New Year celebrations.

The Zonal Coordinator of the Northern Nigeria Christian Political Forum (CNFF), Northeast Zone, Comrade Emmanuel Ayuba Degubi, said 1000 bags of rice were allocated to the state and will be distributed across the 17 LGA of the State.

He said the first lady’s gesture is meant to support the less privileged, alleviate economic hardship, and show the government’s commitment to all Nigerians, especially the supporters of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state.

Distributing the rice to the beneficiaries, the Commissioner Ministry of Religions Affairs and Ethical Reorientation, Alhaji Yusuf Umar, said the gesture brought hope and a sense of belonging to the Christian community.

He emphasized the importance of peace, unity and shared prosperity among all citizens of Yobe State, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences.
