Organisers say the event is targeted at boys and girls between the ages of four to 14, and the daily tennis clinics will open from at 8:00am to 12noon each day.
Training, coaching and mentoring will be anchored by very experienced and internationally recognized coaches. Forms are available at the Makurdi Club, Radio Benue and Makurdi Sports Council.
The organizing committee has released a statement by the promoter, Mr. Roberts Ungwaga Orya (MD of Nexim Bank), that this is his personal contribution towards youth development in Nigeria by providing alternative opportunities for the youths in our society to actualize their individual talents, aspirations and to attain their full potentials.
A tennis tournament is scheduled for the last two days of the event with a promise of entertaining tennis and very attractive prizes for all winners.
