This week I have chosen an unusual route. I am sharing books that are on my radar and currently on my desk. These books bring an interesting flavour to my mix of reads and I am going to tell you why they have made the cut to be shared and also how they came to be within my eye view at this time. Many reasons come to play in this engaging collection. One of it is the American election. Now even if you close your eyes, you still end up seeing that election. Simply put, it became news of the world (Apologies to the troubled paper of the same name)The other reason for this collection is the fact that this column has already hit two years since we have been sharing guest’s favourite books and some of my own recommendation. I threw an independence challenge to readers and only two people responded.  One of the books in this mix is about how to be an achiever. If you are not responding to competitions about how to win books on this page, how are you going to be interested in the bigger picture? Again for those who missed it. It was an independence competition. Write a six sentence essay about what you like about Nigeria. It is still open but we will give concessions to our first two entrants and those who write in before the end of next week. We have books donated by The Shehu Musa Yaradua centre and author and entrepreneur Mr Deji Fisho.
