It’s Independence Day today and a long weekend ahead. For Nollywood and Hollywood fans here are some interesting choices to thrill you, keep you in suspense and keep your hearts racing in a nice enjoyable way with some action and sci-fi. 
October 1: Sadiq Daba, Kayode Olaiya
‘October 1’ was produced and directed by Kunle Afolayan and written by Tunde Babalola. The movie also stars Kanayo O. Kanayo, Femi Adebayo, Bimbo Manuel and introduces Demola Adedoyin with cameo role by Deola Sagoe. The movie set in Colonial Nigeria and narrates the story of Danladi Waziri (Sadiq Daba), a police officer from Northern Nigeria posted to Akote, a town in Western Nigeria to investigate female murder cases in the community and resolve the mystery before October 1, Nigeria’s Independence Day.
Jason Bourne: Matt Damon, Tommy Lee Jones
‘Jason Bourne,’ an action film directed and written by Paul Greengrass is the fifth of the Bourne film series and the direct sequel to ‘The Bourne Ultimatum,’ (2007) which all feature Matt Damon as lead character.
Mechanic: Resurrection: Jason Statham, Jessica Alba
‘Mechanic: Resurrection’ is an action thriller film starring stars Jason Statham, Tommy Lee Jones, Jessica Alba and Michelle Yeoh. It was directed by Dennis Gansel and is sequel to the 2011 film ‘The Mechanic,’ which was a remake of the 1972 film of the same name. Since its August 2016 premiere it has grossed $56 million.
93 Days: Bimbo Akintola, Danny Glover
The movie directed and co-produced by Steve Gukas stars Bimbo Akintola, Danny Glover and Bimbo Manuel. It centres on the sacrifices made by men and women who risked their lives to save Nigeria and West Africa from the Ebola epidemic and is dedicated to the late Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh, who played a key role in the eradication of Ebola in Nigeria.
The Arbitration: Adesua Etomi, OC Ukeje
It is the story of Gbenga (O.C Ukeje) and his employee Dara (Adesua Etomi) who had an affair with Dara suing him for rape after the affair ended and she quit the company. An arbitration panel was constituted to find the truth.
