Residents of Imodi Ijasi Community in Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State have lamented the deplorable condition of roads in the area, which they say, have impeded on the socio-economic activities of the community.
They made this known shortly after receiving donations of two boreholes installed in the community by the Habiba Charity Foundation.
Residents of the agrarian community also lamented the lack of potable water and a health care centre.
Speaking with newsmen, Baale of Imodi- Ijasi kingdom, Boyejo Adetayo said the community founded in 1210 has suffered neglect.
Adetayo said: “Government should assist us in terms of roads and water. In Imodi-Ijasi, we don’t have a health centre. We don’t have roads. We learnt they are planning to rehabilitate it, but if they can turn the road into a dual carriage, it would be better. More than a thousand trailers pass through this road daily”.
