The Ogun Police Command yesterday confirmed the arrest of one Oladosu Nureni who allegedly shot and killed two men in Iwoye in Yewa South Local Government Area of the state.
The suspect had on March 27 allegedly shot Ajayi Onifade, who was the Amuludun of Iwoyeland and Olatunji Ayinla with a locally made gun and fled the town.
The Command in a statement by its spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed that Nureni’s arrest followed information received by the Area Commander, ACP Chris Adeyeri, that the suspect was sighted at Irogun-Ishaga.
He added that following the tip-off, the Area Commander mobilised his men and went to the village where the suspect was arrested at about 10:20pm on Wednesday.
Items recovered from the suspect are locally made gun, gun powder and charms.
