Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has donated N50 million and six speedboats to the Borno State Government to aid communities devastated by the recent floods.
The donation was announced in a statement released by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, on Thursday.
Governor Fintiri, during his visit to Maiduguri, presented the donation to Governor Babagana Zulum and emphasised the importance of collective efforts to alleviate the suffering of the flood-affected population.
Governor Fintiri expressed deep regret over the loss of lives and destruction of property caused by the flooding. He called on the federal government to take urgent steps to address the disaster.

In a show of solidarity, Governor Fintiri, alongside Governors Zulum of Borno and Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, participated in a boat ride to assess the damage and personally sympathise with displaced persons.
