Oyiwona, in a telephone conversation with our correspondent, expressed joy that the situation would soon be brought under control.
He said, “God is helping us, it has come down to 11.5 metres as at today from the highest of 11.8 metres at the weekend. It started receding on Sunday.”
The commissioner noted that the development was received with joy as he further assured that the waters would gradually continue to reduce until people regained their flooded habitations.
