Victims of flood that killed three people with scores missing and many houses submerged including two cemeteries said they are yet to receive any relief material from the National Emergency Management Agency, (NEMA) and the Nasarawa Emergency Management Agency, (NASEMA).
The flood was due to hours of overnight torrential rain in Lafia and environs in Nasarawa State.
The Village Head of Unguwan Makama in Lafia, Malam Muhammad Aliyu Liman said, three people died, five houses collapsed and thirty houses were submerged in his area.
A victim of the flood, Alhaji Saidu Iliya of Filin Kura, Makama Primary School said, his house was submerged by the flood in River Amba, but he and others have not receive any relief material.
Chairman, Lafia Local Government Area, Alhaji Muazu Maifata said they have undertaken on the spot assessment and that they would assist the victims with relief material soon.
Executive Secretary of Nasarawa State Emergency Management Agency, (NASEMA), Mr Allu Maga did not say when they would deliver relief material to the victims.
