The Binge Flying Bees will square off against Super Lions Kulishin in the curtain-raiser of the 9th Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Cup.

The draws, conducted in Kaltungo, placed 64 clubs from Kaltungo, Billiri, Balanga, and Shongom Local Government Areas into their respective groups.

Chairman of the Organising Committee, Promise Uwaeme, hailed the sponsor’s commitment to using football as a unifying tool for youths in the zone. He revealed that, for the first time, the Round of 16 matches will hold across three centres — Kaltungo, Billiri, and Filiya — with 16 fixtures also set to be streamed live on social media to widen the tournament’s reach.

Uwaeme cautioned participating clubs against any form of malpractice, stressing that offenders will face sanctions. He further reminded stakeholders that Kalarin United remain suspended for taking their case to a regular court.

From the draws, Kaltungo produced 37 teams divided into Pools A to I, Billiri featured 18 teams across Pools A to E, while Shongom contributed nine teams split into Pools A and B.

Widely regarded as one of the biggest grassroots tournaments in Gombe South, the Adamu Yola Unity Cup continues to serve as a platform for peace, unity, and talent discovery.
