For seven-time champions Nigeria, currently second in the group with four points, a draw will be enough to book a place in the quarter-finals. Kenya, however, need an emphatic win to have any hope of advancing as one of the best third-placed teams.

With Morocco topping the group on six points and Tunisia on three, Nigeria’s path is straightforward—avoid defeat, and qualification is secured. Even a draw in the Morocco vs Tunisia tie would see Nigeria through with five points. Only a win for Tunisia and a loss for Nigeria could potentially shift the standings dramatically.

Kenya’s Rising Stars have struggled in Cairo, losing a thrilling 2-3 opener to Morocco and falling 1-3 to Tunisia. They now face a daunting task against a Nigerian side that has historically dominated this fixture.

From friendly matches in the 1960s to crucial World Cup and Olympic qualifiers, Nigeria has consistently outclassed Kenya.
