The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa has inspected one of its funded Estates- Anthem Estate located in Gwagwalada to assess the level of work.
The estate comprises of 200 units of 3, 2 and 1 bedroom apartments.
The inspection was part of efforts at completing all on-going housing projects funded by the Bank, Commenting after the inspection, Musa Dangiwa said the project is one of the successful Ministerial Pilot Housing Projects funded by the bank. He noted that what is interesting about the project is that the off-takers are on ground who are staff members of University of Abuja under the Cooperative Society. He expressed satisfaction with the quality and level of work in the estate and directed the developer to complete the houses by November this year for subsequent mortgaging to the university community.
The Managing Director also called on Nigerians to take advantage of the National Housing Fund (NHF) scheme to own their houses. He said the scheme is open to all Nigerians and is the most affordable mortgage facility in the country. He reiterated the commitment of the bank to deliver on its mandate of providing quality and affordable housing to low and medium income earners.
