A statement from the hospital yesterday said the move was also geared towards the commencement of kidney transplants at the hospital, as well as addressing the dearth of manpower in the area. The statement was signed by the hospital’s public relations officer Obadiah N.K Gana.
A top consultant nephrologist, Dr Ernest Aniede, is the chairman of the committee, the statement said.
The Medical Director of FMC, Abuja, Prof. Saad Ahmed, urged Dr Aniede and his team to work with full dedication and commitment on the assignment.
