From all indications the ruling party is bent on retaining power by all means, but Nigerians are not ready to give them any chance again because all the promises made to them during the campaign have not been fulfilled.

If we go back to history and check, from 1960, we had two Igbo presidents and heads of state, then the North West, we had Gowon, Shagari, Abacha, Yar’adua and today Buhari, the North Central produced Abdulsalami, Babangida, the South West produced Olusegun Obasanjo and Shonekan, the North East have never tasted power through the Presidency.

So, Ibo that are crying of marginalisation  are not sincere to themselves. The only people who should legitimately cry are those in the North East. So if there is equity and justice, the chance of the opposition is very bright in 2023 because the convention  that was recently held went without rancour. Presently, the APC has no strong candidate and a Muslim-Muslim ticket will not work in today’s Nigeria.

If PDP can recall, Goodluck Jonathan can come and complete his second term then bring somebody from the North East as his running mate; there is a good chance for them.

If Jonathan is not ready to come on board, people like Sen. Bala Mohammed from the North East can come forward, because we need a young, vibrant leader today, not outdated leaders from the 70s who have nothing to offer.

Nigerians en masse voted for President Buhari but today he has lost it all. People that used their energy and resources like Kwankwaso, Saraki, Tambuwal etc. are coming back to the same party they destroyed, so when Buhari is leaving in 2023, he is leaving with APC .
