The world’s largest black nation has for many years been confronted by fundamental, daunting and multi-dimensional challenges, caught in a vicious cycle of political crises, social upheavals and economic instability. We have seen enough. Nigeria is our only country, therefore we ought to integrate to salvage and sustain our dear nation together. The work to make Nigeria better should not be a practice reserved for armchair crystal gazers; it is going to be one hard job that demands of us all, every single Nigerian must roll up his sleeve.
Only when we unite in spirit can we truly cope with the challenges we are facing. Unity and diversity are qualities to be desired within a society, if balanced well with one another, they provide a strong form of society.
Nigerians are intensely social beings; thus they have a great need for affiliation with each other and, Nigeria is large enough to accommodate us despite our religious and ethno-tribal differences. We keep sentiment aside and Nigeria will be one and viable. Sentiment is the major problem that is threatening the course of unity and harmony. Love is the bedrock of peace and unity. In a multi-religious nation like Nigeria we must love and respect one another to defend our unity; peace and justice shall thus reign.
The betterment of Nigeria lies on our shoulders all real compatriots; we can do it. We have the ability and strength the time is now. Let’s serve with heart and might, surely strength is found in unity and diversity but in not division or disintegration.
