For APC to be taken seriously…

Instead of sending the governors’ counterparts in the APC to do the job, they chose to ridicule the party by offering themselves as the noblest people in the party to do it.
The practice of foisting the task on the well-respected APC leaders like General Buhari and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, among others, is embarrassing to the party. It tends to convey the impression that it either lacks sufficient quality within its ranks or it’s not happy with the quality of those it has.
Secondly, the exercise is an insult to the Nigerian public whom the APC has times without number told that they have been misgoverned by the rival PDP and its governors. Most of the PDP governors the APC is inviting are alleged election riggers, who rigged the process that allowed Jonathan and past PDP Presidents into Aso Rock. What is there to cherish about such governors? Is it now safe to believe the pundits who have stressed that APC has no any other objective besides wrestling power from the PDP?
If we x-ray the current composition of the APC, we can find out that about one-third or more of its prominent members have at one time been PDP members. It is obvious.   Recently, the PDP accused the APC of hypocrisy by trying to steal its members. I often disagree with the PDP in almost everything but I agree with it on this matter, to some extent.
Let’s assume that the APC has succeeded in wooing the PDP governors, how would they reconcile some delicate issues like the Shekarau and Kwankwaso saga in Kano or bridge the Bafarawa and Wamakko gulf in Sokoto, for instance? Are they not therefore doing more harm than good or are they willing to sacrifice some key members to accommodate the governors who have power and wealth? Let APC be told, loud and clear that by the time the G-7 governors joined the party, it will become an annexed PDP and Nigerians are not fools, they will decide appropriately.
