For Chibok girls, a grim milestone nears

It is sad that even after 140-something days now, the federal government and its security agencies have virtually forgotten the plight of the girls as political activities have taken centre-stage and are going on all across the country. Just about 5 days ago, there was a pro-Jonathan rally despite concerns of Ebola virus! But the event was not called off. Even after the Chibok incident, a. Deputy Prime Minister’s wife was abducted in Cameroon Republic, but freed immediately less than 24 hours after her abduction. Likewise in Chad Republic where some people abducted from Baga were also freed by the Chadian forces less than a week after. Unfortunately in Nigeria, insurgency is just making more advances. More territory is being taken from Nigeria while the civilian leadership of the country is there busy looting public funds and attending useless events. It is my prayer that God will end all bloodshed in Nigeria and bring peace to the nation.
Nigerians should engage themselves more in prayers for our dear nation to overcome the current travails so that peace will reign again over the entire land.
