According to online reports, on pulse.ng, Swaida said: “I am doing this for them. They treated me like a kid sister when I needed them. Our fight right now is to raise money so that we can send him to a home that can help him. Apart from his alcoholism, he has spiritual and mental issues to go with it.”
Swaida, who is close to not only Fashek but his wife and larger family, as well, is based in the United States of America. She created a ‘GoFundMe’ page for the former star.
According to her, the aim is to raise $20,000. The amount generated so far is $555.
Fashek is famous for his songs, ‘Send down the rain’ and ‘Holy Spirit,’ ‘Kpangolo,’ and ‘I’m not tired’ amongst others.
