Former CMD of FTH Katsina, Bello Sulaiman, Passes Away

A former Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Katsina, Dr. Muhammad Bello Sulaiman, has passed away.

According to sources close to him, Dr. Sulaiman died on Saturday at a hospital in Egypt.

Mourning his passing on Facebook, former Katsina North Senator, Ahmad Babba Kaita, described the deceased as a dedicated professional with a deep passion for the development of Katsina.

“We mourn the passing of Dr. Bello. May Allah have mercy on him and make his good deeds a source of salvation in the Hereafter.

“His passion for the development of Katsina was legendary.

“When I was in the Assembly, he was always present in my office, moving tirelessly from place to place to improve healthcare across the state,” he wrote.

He prayed Allah to grant him eternal rest in Jannah.

Dr. Sulaiman was respected for his contributions to healthcare in Katsina State, especially during his tenure as CMD.

At a ceremony marking the end of his tenure as CMD in 2025, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Development, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, speaking through a ministerial official, Dr. Abdulmajid Umar, commended Sulaiman for the transformative initiatives he implemented in the state’s health sector.
