Zakari with thousands of his supporters from Ankpa Local Government said he left the PDP because the party under the leadership of President Goodluck Jonathan has almost collapsed the country and there is the need for a radical change.
He said the development has made the party to lose its electoral value in the state and in the country at large, adding that only a fool would continue to remain in a sinking ship.
“There is a wind of change going on in the country. President Jonathan has lost the control of the nation. Suddenly, General Muhammadu Buhari has become the man of the people and those who are wise are queuing behind him,” he said.
He said PDP and its members have become disillusioned since last year but only buying time, saying that they have realized that they must follow the wind of change and the revolution the nation and her people are yearning for.
Receiving the decampees at the state Secretariat in Lokoja, the State Deputy Chairman, Shuabu Oseni, said APC welcomes those who are ready to effect change in the country as what is going on now is a silent revolution and urged them to go out and vote for the APC and protect their votes during Saturday’s general election.
