Former lawmaker hands over PHC to Akwanga LG

A former gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nasarawa State, Mr. David Ombugadu, has handed over four Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) to Akwanga Local Government Council.

They are situated at Kurmin Tagwaye, Gwanje Sarki, Akka and Awon village in Ancho ward and equipped to provide healthcare services to rural dwellers.

Ombugadu, who was a two-term member of the House of Representatives, was represented at the event by an aide, Mr. Sunday Bulus, who said the gesture was aimed at bringing modern healthcare services to people.

Chairman of the local government Samuel Meshi said while receiving the facilities on behalf of the various communities that, “We commend Mr. David Ombugadu for this kind gesture he has shown these communities.”

The chairman urged the communities to make judicious use of the PHCs.

He called on the people to complement government’s effort towards improving the standard of living in the country.
