A former member of the House of Representatives representing Awe, Doma and Keana in Nasarawa State, Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, has trained 150 secondary school teachers on Information Technology (ICT).
He said at the end of the five days’ workshop which was held at Dr Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic Lafia, that ICT skills would make teaching easier.
“The importance of ICT to societal development cannot be over-emphasised; the training is essential and I am calling on you to make use of the knowledge gained to impact positively on your students for the overall development of the education sector and the country in general,” he said.
The ICT training was done in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Communications.
The ministry’s representative, Mr. Shola Olulade, said it was poised to ensure that every able Nigerian has access to information communication technology.
