The Miss Global beauty pageant is an international beauty event that can be compared to world famous beauty shows like Miss World, Miss Earth and Miss Universe, among others. The pageant is a registered trademark of a Jamaican based company known as Blue Diamond International Ltd. The company, having felt that Nigeria has not been appearing in international pageants for sometime now had to award MFI Xquisite Koncepts the franchise to organize the pageant.
The would-be MGN winner, who must fall within the age bracket of 18 -27 years, and blessed with qualities like beauty and intelligence has the duty of restoring the lost glory of the Nigerian young woman in the international community, and also help towards eradicating extreme hunger and poverty by empowering widows. For Isabella, whose mother is also a widow, she is leaving no stone unturned in fulfilling that task.
“The campaign against Typhoid will bring vaccines to my target group; women, children and of course people who cannot afford the vaccines. It’s not just giving out vaccines which are like preventive measures, but also educating them on the dangers of the disease. I’m also working on my project on widows, helping their children, empowering them to sustain their lives. I think my dream to win Miss Global International will enable me give more to the vulnerable,” she said.
The award which was changed from Miss Commonwealth to Miss Global International, would require Isabella to display her beauty and courage in the face of strong opposition from, Trinidad and Tobago, France, Russia, among others.
