The Northern Christian Youth Forum (NCYF) has expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for acknowledging the loyalty of Vice President Kashim Shettima and reaffirming his place on the presidential ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group, led by its President, Rev. Pinot Atuluku, said in a statement that the decision has ended speculations from some quarters calling for Shettima’s replacement.
According to the forum, Shettima has distinguished himself as a political leader from the North who has carried all groups along irrespective of religion.
The NCYF further praised the Vice President for his role in promoting peace and harmony through various interventions aimed at fostering inclusiveness for Christians in the region.
The group also pledged to mobilise 20 million Northern Christian votes for President Tinubu in the 2027 elections in recognition of the administration’s stance on unity and shared leadership.
