The Ulama Forum in Nigeria has joined multitudes of Muslims and other well-wishers across the globe in commiserating with the governments and peoples of Morocco and Libya for the tragedies of earthquake and flood respectively that recently afflicted the two countries.
In a statement, the convener of the forum, Aminu Inuwa Muhammad, said, “The monumental loss of lives and property from the tragedies pricks the consciousness of people of empathy the world over and calls for total submission to the will of Allah (SWT) who alone gives life and takes it when He wills, inflicts pains and relieves it and brings succour to those who submit to His will.
“The Ulama Forum, therefore, reminds the peoples of Morocco and Libya to consider the tragedies as trials from Allah and to thus return to Him in total submission so that He will enlist them among His servants who persevere in His trials.”
The forum called on Nigerians to mobilise assistance for victims of the tragedies and relay the same through the appropriate channels, especially the embassies of the two countries.

He further said, “Nigerians should also join in praying for the souls of the deceased and succour for those who survived the tragedies.
