Biu Forum has commended the Federal Government for approving the sum of N27.23 billion for the construction of the Bui-Gombe road which stretches for about 117 kilometers.

The forum, in a statement signed by the Chairman, Board of Trustees, Ibrahim Usman in Kaduna said the road which was constructed in the early 70s has been in a deplorable state in the last 20 years.  

He noted that all appeals from the people of Biu and Gombe emirates to the previous administrations to repair the road fall on deaf ears. 

“The hardship experienced by commuters plying the road over the years is to say the least horrible. The road, which connect two commercial towns of Biu and Gombe not only help the movement of people and agricultural goods but also security logistics, personnel and troops of the military formations in Biu and Gombe”.
