The APC Forum for Good Governance and Continuity, alongside over 500 other groups, has endorsed Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Siminalayi Fubara for second terms in office.

The endorsement was announced at a press conference in Abuja, where the forum said its position followed an assessment of the leaders’ performance.

Speaking at the event, the forum’s National Coordinator, Henry Awolabi, said the gathering was “not merely a political declaration but a reflection on governance outcomes.”

“We are here to present what we consider a reasoned and evidence-based endorsement of two leaders whose policies and actions have shaped national and state governance in recent times,” he said.

Awolabi pointed to recent economic reforms introduced by the Tinubu administration, including the removal of fuel subsidies and exchange rate adjustments.

“These decisions, though challenging, were taken in the interest of fiscal stability and long-term economic restructuring,” he stated.

He added that while the reforms have generated debate, “they represent a shift towards a more sustainable economic framework.”

On Rivers State, Awolabi said Governor Fubara’s administration has focused on stability and development.

“In Rivers State, we have observed efforts to manage political tensions while pursuing infrastructure development and improvements in key sectors such as healthcare and agriculture,” he said.

The coordinator maintained that both leaders have shown capacity in navigating governance challenges but acknowledged the difficulties associated with ongoing reforms.

“We recognise that reforms of this scale come with transitional challenges, and Nigerians have expressed varying experiences as these policies take effect,” he noted.

He urged Nigerians to consider continuity in leadership, stating that “policy consistency remains important for reforms to achieve their intended outcomes.”

The endorsement reflects the position of the APC Forum and its affiliated groups. However, some analysts and opposition voices have continued to express differing views on the impact of current policies, particularly on economic conditions and cost of living.
