A Non-governmental Organisation in Kwara State, Bayo and Bunmi Babalola Foundation, ‎has awarded scholarship to 250 students from Irepodun local government area.
Speaking at the award ceremony, the initiator of the foundation, Engineer Sunday Babalola, said the gesture was not driven by any political ambition or consideration, but in furtherance of his commitment to human capital development as a potent strategy to address hardship, poverty, unemployment and crime in the society.
“It is also another contribution of mine to societal wellbeing and development of the citizen of my State. Last year, a total number of 140 pupils/students from secondary schools, polytechnics and universities who were citizens of Omu Aran were awarded scholarship by this Foundation. This year, we have extended it to Irepodun local government with almost 250 students as beneficiary.
