The Prince Archibong Life Foundation has donated wrappers and bags of rice to widows in Obot Akara, Ikot Ekpene and Essien Udim LGAs of Akwa Ibom State.

The foundation also said it was planning a skill acquisition training for 100 youths that would also be drawn from the three local government areas.

Speaking during the distribution of 420 pieces of wrappers and 500 bags of 10kg rice to widows and coordinators of the charity organisation in the three LGAs, the chairman, Prince Mendy Archibong, said the donation was a way of celebrating the people.

He said the foundation offered interventions in community infrastructure, healthcare and education primarily to widows and youths.

“Prince Archibong Life Foundation seeks to offer protem and sustainable interventions in community infrastructure, healthcare, education and human empowerment with a bias to widows and youths,’’ the Chairman said.

He said in the last six months, the group has partnered with Akwa Ibom Liberation Movement (AILM) and Afe Mkparawa Annang to pay the hospital bills of patients in various hospitals.

Some of the widows, who benefited from the donations said they were elated to be remembered by the foundation.

One of them, Mrs Ikwo Eka said, “I am grateful to our benefactor, Prince Mendy Archibong for the wrapper and rice. He is God-sent. I pray for more blessings upon his business endeavours.”
