The Tompolo Foundation, in partnership with PEB ICT Services, has trained 100 youths in market-relevant information and communication technology (ICT) skills to enhance their employability and participation in the digital economy.

Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief (Engr.) Kestin Ebimoborwei Pondi, said the programme was designed to equip youths with practical digital skills needed in today’s technology-driven economy.

“The programme was designed to empower our people, especially young Nigerians, with practical digital skills that are relevant in today’s world. Digital skills are no longer optional; they are essential for employment, entrepreneurship and global competitiveness,” Pondi said.

According to him, the participants underwent intensive hands-on training in computer applications, web development, graphics design, cybersecurity and data analysis, describing the skills “as globally relevant and capable of supporting self-reliance”.

“The distribution of laptops was meant to ensure sustainability and immediate application of knowledge acquired during the training.

He charged the beneficiaries against using With this training and these tools comes responsibility. Use them wisely, not for fraud, but to add value to your lives, your communities and our nation at large,” he said.

On his part, PEB ICT Services, Administrator, Mr. Moses Major, described the initiative as a practical approach to tackling youth unemployment through skills acquisition.

He commended Tantita for its commitment to youth empowerment and funding this programme.
